The Logistics.
Here’s where we cover what you’ll need to participate.
Commitment:
CHARACTER & COMMITMENT We believe in authenticity and leadership with integrity. Delegates are encouraged to bring their full selves to this experience—unapologetically, joyfully, and powerfully. At the same time, we recognize that our delegates hold positions of influence and visibility. As such, we expect all participants to carry themselves with intention, respect, and a commitment to growth.
Delegates should be prepared to:
Represent the Miss Black North America brand with excellence both online and offline
Engage with fellow participants and the broader community in a spirit of sisterhood and professionalism
Honor their word, meet deadlines, and follow through on responsibilities
Model the values of leadership, accountability, and community care
This is more than a competition—it’s a calling. And with that comes a commitment to show up for yourself, your vision, and the women watching.

Competition Segments
Every element of the Miss Black North America pageant is designed to honor Black womanhood, elevate leadership, and celebrate culture. Here’s what to expect on the national stage:
The Crown Conversation (On-Stage Interview)
In a live, podcast-style interview, delegates will answer questions that reveal their personality, poise, and perspective. Judges will evaluate communication skills, presence, and authenticity.
Homage: Honoring Her Legacy (Ambassadorial Wear)
Delegates will deliver a 2-minute monologue in honor of an influential Black woman who has shaped culture, history, or their personal lives. This is a moment of reverence, power, and pride.
QueenTalk™ (TED Talk-Style Presentation)
Each delegate will give a 3- to 5-minute original talk on a subject of their choice — showcasing their intellect, passion, and leadership. Think TED Talk, but made for the crown.
Black-Tie Magic (Runway Showcase – Not Judged)
Delegates will grace the stage in their best black-tie look. This unscored segment is a celebration of self-expression, elegance, and Black beauty in full bloom.

Spotlight Talent (Optional Category)
Delegates may choose to showcase a talent of their choice (up to 3 minutes). Whether it’s spoken word, dance, singing, or something unexpected — this segment allows artistry to shine.
The Pitch Arena (Optional Category)
Bring your business to life. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in The Pitch Arena, an optional Shark Tank-style pitch competition. In this segment, selected delegates will present their business or nonprofit idea to a panel of real investors, sponsors, and entrepreneurial leaders for a chance to receive funding, mentorship, and exposure.
